Youth must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian to enter the application and interview process on April 30th. Students must submit a completed application packet during the interview session. Youth football players from Birmingham and the surrounding areas are invited to attend a free half-day football fundamentals clinic on Saturday, June 11 from 9:00 a.m. to noon at historic Legion Field. The Alabama Power Youth Football Clinic presented by Coca-Cola and hosted by the Birmingham Bowl is open to the first 200 youths, ages 8-13, to register online. Participants are required to bring a signed waiver on the day of the clinic. UAB football coach Bill Clark and his coaching staff will lead the clinic, giving attendees the opportunity to participate in on-field agility drills and offensive and defensive training. Each attendee will receive a compimentary T-shirt, lunch and two tickets for the 11th annual Birmingham Bowl on Thursday, December 29.
